9,000 glasses for Africa

The glasses manufacturer Lunor from the Black Forest has donated 9,000 frames to the relief organization “L.S.F. Lunettes sans Frontière”. In Africa you have to raise the incredible sum of six to eight monthly wages for a pair of glasses. That is why they are out of the question for most people living there. Already the journey to the doctor, often several 100 kilometres long, is far too expensive. The charitable organization “L.S.F. Lunettes sans Frontière”, makes it possible to help directly. This collection campaign, unlimited in time, provides all people willing to help with an opportunity to donate frames. It does not matter if they give five or five hundred frames – every single one makes a big contribution. “It shouldn’t be a luxury to be able to see sharply”, says Michael Fux, chairman and chief designer of Lunor AG. “That’s why we’ve decided to support the campaign 'Glasses withouth borders' with 9,000 frames.”
