The spotlights on Milano Moda Donna have been turned off

This edition of Milano Moda Donna has come to an end. The fashion week brought over 15-thousand operators to the capital of Lombardy and from Saturday, 20 through Saturday, 27 they were able to see the spring/summer 2009 previews of 224 prêt-à-porter collections: 100 fashion shows for 93 brands, 94 presentations and 51 by appointment. 46 designers showed their creations at the Fashion Center on Via Gattamelata.

1,142 Italian journalists and 1,222 foreign journalists were at the event. 'Buyers and the press recognized the creativity and quality of the collections' confirmed Mario Boselli, president of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (Cnmi). 'The calendar meant that the event ran smoothly and allowed operators to go to all the appointments'.

'The stylists and the Cnmi played their part' Boselli concluded. 'Now we just have to wait for the response of the market, but certainly it will be conditioned by the international economic and financial trend'.
