Silmo moves 2009 edition to September

Starting 2009, September will be the month for eyewear. Silmo has decided to change its dates: from next year until at least 2012, it will no longer be held between end October and early November, but from September 17 through 20. The location is the same, the Parc des Exposition de la Porte de Versailles, even though many consider it to be slightly obsolete and are pushing for it to move to the modern location at Villepinte.

The decision - Guy Charlot emphasized during the press conference - was taken to meet the requirements of those companies in the sector that thought the Paris appointment was too late in the year and that a mid-September date was good.
