Sarah Palin's glasses set a trend

From unknown figure to trendsetter. It's just ten days since the governor of Alaska was chosen by Sen. John McCain to be his running mate for the presidency of the United States, but Sarah Palin has already gone from relative anonymity to worldwide popularity. It's not unusual therefore that everything about her is the subject of particular attention and will be copied wherever possible.

Americans and the US media - and as a consequence also the international media - were particularly interested in the glasses Sarah Palin wore during her public appearances after being put on the Republican ticket for the White House. In a special article, 'Usa Today', the newspaper with the widest circulation, wrote that it has been some time since an accessory has achieved the popularity of Palin's very lightweight glasses.

This was how it came to be known that the frames are by Japanese designer Kazuo Kawasaki, the model is 704, the color is gray 34, and they're in titanium and have no screws. 'We get numerous calls from opticians because their clients want to order the same model' said Amy Hahn, vice president of Italee, the company that distributes the glasses in the United States and has unintentionally acquired a formidable testimonial in the vice presidential nominee.
