Rudy Project in Treviso with the cyclo-cross world champions
The countdown has begun for the Cyclo-cross World Championship, the long-awaited appointment due to take place in Treviso January 26 and 27. The support of Treviso-based company Rudy Project could not be lacking at this great event. In addition to being the host, it will be in the forefront as the official supplier. «Being the protagonists in one of the most important international sporting events is part of our DNA', explained Simone Barbazza, the Marketing Manager of Rudy Project who is well-known for his technical sunglasses. 'And it is particularly important to us in this case, because this event gives excellent visibility for a spectacular sport that is still fairly unknown in Italy but which Rudy Project has been following for years by sponsoring the athletes at international events in some northern and central European countries. An international event we strongly believe in, also because it is a good opportunity to enhance the cultural and artistic heritage of Treviso, our city'.
An event without frontiers with four races (junior, women's, under-23s, elite) in which almost 400 athletes from 45 countries will take part. Also taking part is Belgian ace Sven Nijs, the champion of the Rabobank team for which Rudy Project is the official supplier, who has had twenty-one victories already this season. Also expected to be present are numerous fans from the European countries where cyclo-cross is very popular, such as Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Germany and the Czech Republic.
Rudy Project's faithful followers will be able to see and buy the new 2008 collection of helmets, glasses and accessories for this sport directly from Rudy Project's very-well-stocked display truck at the racetrack.
