Ottica Venturini returns to Nepal

After the Monte Rosa edition, Ottica Venturini Special Trials have returned to Nepal. There are new mountains to climb and new glasses to test. The filters are specifically for high altitudes and come with neutral filters or graduated filters for ametropia.

Facing enormous distances, altitudes and levels of difficulty, the expedition left from Kathmandu to climb the 6,189-meter Imja Tse (Island Peak).
The Peak is near the hostile Barunste mountain and the imposing wall of the Lhotse. Between Kathmandu and the Peak, they must cross the Ngozumba glacier, climb up to the Cho Pass (5,420 m) and then continue to the Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar. The Island Peak climb will begin at night so that the descent can be made safely before sunset.

The members of the expedition are free climbing and mountaineering instructors and they belong to the Italian Alpine Club and the National Alpine Rescue Corps. Last year, they led the 'special trials' expedition to the top of Mont Blanc.
