New 2008 collection for Costume National
The strictly minimalist culture of matter. Hints of vintage and ultra-modern workmanship. This refined play of contrasts and similarities is the stylistic feature of the new 2008 sun collection from Costume National produced and distributed by Cult.
Consistently unisex, the design is a continuous blend of the clean lines of such different materials as metal and acetate created by modern workmanship. Enhanced by contrasting materials, the metal inserts integrate perfectly with the volume and élan of the profiles.
Attention to detail aims at creating sensory insinuations. The eye is pleased by cultivated design, but also by the rhythmic combination of polished and opaque surfaces and colors. Faithful to the fashion house's palette, various shades of black, gray, brown and burgundy range from solid colors to the nuances of crystal. Lenses are shaded, totally colored and polarized.
The tactile sensations are also intense. The warmth of plastic alternates with the coolness of metal, polished smooth surfaces blend with the opaque roughness of the same or different materials. Also faithful to this philosophy of subtle and harmonious contrasts, the polished personalization of the brand stands out against the opaque sections.
Launched in January 2008, the collection includes thirteen models. The distribution strategy aims at international visibility through a selected network of exclusive trendsetting stores, worldwide.
