Mido confirms the appointment in Rome

Next September Rome will host the Mido Business Forum, a new important date for the eyewear industry. The formula for this event is actually inspired by the origin of the word Forum: from the Latin 'marketplace' to emphasize the desire to create a meeting place for supply and demand, for companies, distributors and retailers.

"We wanted to confirm this rendezvous to respond, on the one hand to the communication needs of businesses, and on the other to the needs of opticians, above all we wanted Italians to better understand the rapid development of our market", explained Dan Emanuel Levi, Vice President of Mido. 'Players in the eyewear market have long hoped for the opportunity to meet face to face at this time of year. The formula for the Mido Business Forum was finalized after it was first announced, also in light of the changing needs expressed by the trade and as a result of a brand new exhibition calendar'.

The earlier schedule of Mido, this year in March, from 6 to 9, and the announcement of the Mido Business Forum have actually revolutionized the entire eyewear industry exhibition calendar. The new formula confirms the three-day show - from Saturday to Monday to better respond to the needs of opticians. Important congressional moments on the future of the eyewear market will be hosted at Mido Business Forum (MBF) in light of important changes on the international stage. The union between companies and distributors is in Mido's DNA, whose main intention has always been to listen to market players to offer quality services that favor trading and idea swapping. From this perspective the new appointment in Rome is an original response to the need for a new way of facing market challenges and the difficult business climate, by sharing ideas and thoughts from all professionals to guide the industry and Made in Italy eyewear towards international success.
'I would like to point out - says Levi - that Mido Business Forum is not some kind of alternative to the traditional Mido in March: Milan's fair is the largest in the industry as well as a huge display area for the whole eyewear industry, a showcase not to be missed by buyers and trendsetters, while Mido Business Forum will be an event organized by Mido in collaboration with Italian ECPs' and opticians' associations, just for them to assess all opportunities for joint market growth'
