Ispo Boardsports Award 2008 for ID2 by Adidas
The new skiing and snowboarding ID2 goggles by Adidas Eyewear have won the coveted Ispo Boardsports Award 2008 in the 'Accessories' category. The international jury was convinced by the leading-edge features that distinguish these goggles: double frame, nano-technology-integrated breathing fabric, and compatibility with the Performance InsertTM optic support for wearers of corrective lenses.
The ID2 frame is made up of two elements: an elastic band is joined to the external frame and the two lenses are supported by the internal frame. This innovative solution means that the external frame will adapt to various helmet shapes and sizes, while the internal frame always grips the face. The result are goggles that guarantee comfort and unparalleled fit that's compatible with all types of helmets.
The nano-technology-integrated breathing Nano-Foam™ prevents dampness from getting inside the frame or between the two lenses and ensures perfect vision at all times. This ultra-technological solution also prevents ice from forming by keeping ventilation constant.
Another winning feature is the possibility of placing the Performance InsertTM inside the goggles if vision correction is required. Large and easy to insert and remove, Performance InsertTM is compatible with bifocal and progressive lenses.Advance sales of the ID2 goggles are available for the 2008/2009 winter season and skiers and snowboarders will be able to buy them starting September.
