Ioda: mirror for concentrated photovoltaic plants

Ioda presented its latest idea for using solar power: a 320mm-diameter mirror made of CR39 with a 170mm focal point and an opening of almost 0.5, designed and produced specifically for a university research institute.

By using this type of mirror, 'concentrated' photovoltaic plants can be produced, a new technology that gives a much higher yield than traditional photovoltaic panels.

The special technology for this product was developed in-house by the company itself and joins its traditional production of lenses for the eyewear industry.
