Intercast widens range of lenses

The offer of high-performance NXT® sun lenses produced by Intercast Europe has been widened. The company located in Parma has announced the launch of two new products that will be added to the range of NXT® Rx Sun lenses: NXT® SFSV Polar and NXT® SFSV Polar Varia are semi-finished monofocals available in the polarizing and photochromic polarizing versions.

A totally innovative product on the market, the new polarizing lenses are the result of the combination of Intercast Europe's exclusive Light Management Technology and the characteristics of the Trivex® material by PPG Industries.

Thanks to the Confined Tint coloring process, the color and photochromic pigments are incorporated in a thickness of 0.9 mm in the convex part of the lens, which guarantees optimum lens color and the best performance in terms of esthetics and color stability. The excellent light filtration exceeds the limits of traditional filtering processes, where color is applied in layers on the surface, and integrates perfectly with the high optical quality, shock resistance and lightness of Trivex® to ensure wearers maximum protection and vision performance.

Available since September 2008 and with a minimum central thickness achievable of 1.4mm, the NXT NXT® SFSV Polar and NXT® SFSV Polar Varia (photochromic polarizing) lenses are especially suitable where glare is a particular problem (driving, water sports, yachting, skiing).
