Fashion: new professions to meet a requirement

During the Milan fashion week, Milan City Council presented a new and specifically commissioned study on the changes in the labor market in this sector. The research highlighted the ability of Milan's training world to meet the needs of this particular market, but it also revealed some critical areas.

"The 148 one- and multi-year courses and the 78 short courses give fairly good coverage of the need for specific training in the fashion sector, which generates billings equal to 7.8% of Milan's GDP", said councilor for labor Andrea Mascaretti, although he recognized that for some emerging professions, training "needs to be upgraded".

However, according to the councilor, 'in terms of training, Milan is a dynamic city that is ready to meet the needs that the market demands'.

At this time, there is a particular lack of specific training courses for two professions: Industrial Property Managers, those who protect the legal aspects of a product, and Stock Managers.
