
Eyewear: Italian-French joint-venture
Formelli, a company that has been operating for over 60 years in the eyewear sector, has signed a joint-venture.The outcome of the agreement will be a new Logo-controlled company with interesting prospects for the development of Italy's domestic market. Based in Casalecchio di Reno, Formelli has the Italian exclusive for the sale of the Tag Heuer, Fred and Range Rover brands and, starting from Mido 2009, also the Salomon brand. They are all under license to Moret, the company that produces and distributes a total of 14 eyewear collections ranging from products for kids to luxury articles.
The Italian company is present at opticians' outlets in Italy with Vuarnet and Prodesign eyewear. Logo recently won its third Silmo d'Or in the 'Technological Innovation' category for Tag Heuer's C-Flex model.
