Eyeglass World Team-Up to Help Phoenix-Area Underprivileged Children

The store also held a full day of festivities to mark its arrival in Goodyear, including a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Goodyear Mayor James Cavanaugh, music, food and giveaways. As part of its Live With Vision program, Eyeglass World invited underprivileged children from the Boys & Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix to the new store to receive free eye exams and glasses.
Live With Vision is a national program developed by Eyeglass World that provides eye care products and services to children in need, and raises awareness of the importance of vision screenings and proper eye care. Undiagnosed vision among children is a growing issue that contributes to a child's performance in school and overall behavior. Many children are struggling with issues at school and at home that are stemming from unidentified and undiagnosed vision problems. The new 4,000 square foot location features more than 2,000 brand name frames in the latest eyewear styles and designs from brand names such as Nike, Gucci, Donna Karan and Calvin Klein. An optometrist is available on site 7 days a week for eye exams, prescriptions and even Lasik eligibility screenings and post-operative appointments.
