Carrera Ski Racing Team on top step of podium

The Ski World Cup competitions 2007/2008 continue and the Carrera Ski Racing Team 2007/2008 continues to win in the various Alpine skiing disciplines.

Austria's Mario Matt, a new member of the team, won his first Slalom of the season at Adelboden in Switzerland and is in the lead at the end of the first leg. He beat Benjamin Raich (second) and Felix Neureuther (third) by 10 and 14 hundredths of a second, respectively, and took the top step of the podium in his Carrera helmet and goggles.

The Carrera team also had excellent results in the men's downhill event: after two spectacular descents in the Giant Slalom, Saturday, January 5, Switzerland's Marc Berthod, a rising star of the Snow, came in 56 hundredths of a second ahead of fellow countryman Daniel Albrecht.

There was satisfaction also for the women: last weekend, Elisabeth Goergl from Austria gained third place in the Giant Slalom at Spindleruv Mlyn in the Czech Republic.
