Bushnell will not be at Silmo this year

Although a 'historical' exhibitor at the annual appointment in Paris in October, Bushnell Outdoor Products will be making an exception and will not take part in this year's edition.

The decision was made because of the date (October 30 - November 2), which is too late for market expectations, but primarily because it coincides with the All-Saints vacation weekend when family gatherings take place throughout most of Europe. This also applies to opticians and sector operators.

Many European distributors complained also last year about the date of the event, but Bushnell Outdoor Products will be organizing a major conference for them in Paris early October for the presentation of new products and the planning of sales and marketing actions.

Marc-Henri Boydron, Managing Director, France, stated: "We are sorry about this decision and it is purely because of the calendar, but we confirm that we have taken note of the dates for Silmo 2009.'
