Area strengthens presence in Germany

Starting April 1, 2008, Area will be consolidating its position on the German market by distributing the two important Kaos and La Matta brands.
German opticians who bought these two brands in the past can now go to Area for information about buying and after-sales service.

Already on the German market with top brands Coco Song® and K:Actor, the company now has 65 employees and boasts an important presence in major countries inside and outside Europe.

Elegance, flair and international design are the successful elements that have made Area one of the most original companies in the Italian eyewear sector and have also confirmed its success in such countries as France, Holland, the UK, Australia, Mexico, the Middle East and Asia.

With widespread penetration worldwide its total exports - about 90% of the company's business - amount to sales of over 650,000 pairs, 75% of which are frames and 25% in the sun segment.

Area's main objective for the future is to let its clients know about and supply them with an increasingly popular top quality product. The numerous ongoing projects include the company's plan to expand and increase its number of employees and turnover.
