
Vision Council of America ends 2005 with eight new members
The Vision Council of America (Vca) has announced the addition of 8 new members to the organization: Diversified Ophthalmics, Inc., Luzerne Optical Laboratories and U.S. Vision in the Laboratory Division; A&R Optical Machinery, Inc. in the Lens Processing Technology Division; Brican, Compulink Business Systems, Nanofilm, and Rlisys Practice Management Solutions in the Supplier Division.
With these eight companies, Vca gained a record-breaking 64 new members in 2005, surpassing the 59 members added in 2004. Vca's membership growth spanned across all the organization's divisions, confirming the value that Vca membership holds for all sectors of the optical industry.
'By expanding our services and reach into all facets of the industry, we have created value that reaches every member', said Bill Thomas, Vca Ceo and executive vice president. 'With the creation of a new Laboratory Division and the integration of the Anti-Reflective Council into Vca, we have broadened the scope of Vca and have shown our commitment to improving the industry'.
Vca's membership consists of 214 members; 142 Full Members, 67 Associate Members and five Trade Press Members.
