Vanni wins at IOFT-Tokyo

Following the victory in the category of 'Design and Style for Men', at the last edition of IOFT, Nico-design wins the 'Eyewear of the year 2007' Prize in the 'Lady' category with Vanni's frame for women.

The model that gained such important recognition stands out for the particular anatomical design of its stems in cambered steel and hand-shaped acetate, as well as the elegant shape of the mono-lens model in faceted bronze.

The hinge and closed-circle are achieved in a single, asymmetrical model making the lenses easier to fit.

'The confirmation of having aimed our research well at oriental 'wearability' for our models is particularly important to us amongst the various reasons for the prize - explains Giovanni Vitaloni, Nico's Chief Executive Officer.'

It is a project Nico-design has been working on for over a year, the results of which can already be seen in view of the positive response received, in commercial terms too.

Nico-design's brands Vanni and Derapage are currently distributed in the Far East, in the following countries: Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea.
