Turin: record wins at the Olympics for adidas eyewear
Great success for adidas eyewear: during the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin it achieved the best Olympic performance in its history by winning 45 medals (15 gold, 18 silver and 12 bronze), 8 more compared to the 37 won at the Salt Lake City games 2002.
Dozens of technical characteristics, great adaptability and lightness were the trump cards adidas eyewear played in support of its athletes' eyesight. The new Gazelle ClimaCool pro Nordic glasses proved to be a true ally together with the Evil Eye Explorer glasses and Burna ski goggles, whose aggressive design included technology to optimize humidity management and field of vision.
Fitted with specific technologies, like the Tri.Fit system and Double-Snap Nose Bridge, Gazelle ClimaCool pro Nordic glasses made a valuable contribution to the important medals won by numerous athletes: Sven Fisher (Germany), 7 times world champion and with 4 Olympics behind him, showed that he was still the best in the Biathlon; Chandra Crawford (Canada), a gold medal for the women's XC Sprint, and a gold for Russia in the women's 4x6 km Biathlon team event.
The Burna goggles, which give better visibility thanks to the ClimaCool dynamic ventilation system that prevents lenses from fogging, were worn by Andy Finch (USA), one of the protagonists in the Half Pipe final.
