Sover: Made in Italy conquers the foreign markets
Sover wins new, important success at the Eyewear Show in Paris, achieving figures that are more than positive for the whole line. Compared to the orders commissioned in 2005, this year's percentages have practically tripled, with plus 20% registered for the pieces sold.
Net growth for the Alviero Martini collection, once again rich in creativity and in perfect harmony with the innovative and refined materials used. The reaction to the Sover brand is extremely positive, as well as to Mariella Burani which is valued for the soft profile that pervades the ophthalmic and sunglasses line, and the precious inserts and original colors.
Sover's mix is confirmed a winner thanks to strategies that put the quality of the materials and the handcrafted process first.
One example is the use of pony skin: exclusive, incredibly soft and treated with care, this company choice has attracted many purchasers from Europe, as well as from the Middle East, China, Hong Kong and the United States.
The data relating to the presence of these markets is particularly interesting as they confirm the comforting picture being outlined for the eyewear sector in spite of the difficult years, the fierce foreign competition, and nonetheless in spite of the difficulties involved in constantly innovating its products, without betraying its customers' expectations.
So, Sover has recorded an increase in sales to Eastern Europe, an area where the company from Belluno is an undisputed leader in terms of its presence and distribution; double-figure increases also for the United States and the Far East, and also good for Germany, Greece, Spain and Turkey. Overseas, Brazil is showing signs of a recovery, especially in the sector of sunglasses, after a period that has lasted years.
The recently stipulated agreement between Sover and Baldinini, a company from the Antichi Pellettieri Group (Mariella Burani Fashion Group), has allowed new market sectors to be identified in perfect harmony with those covered at present with the Alviero Martini and Mariella Burani eyewear lines and, whilst waiting for the coming collection ready for the next Mido, has already aroused great interest among operators.
Finally, we must not forget leather, a central feature of all of Sover's collections, which has been omnipresent since its debut. Work is already underway on both the leather and pony-skin, to create a specific extension of the range for the next Mido with indisputably refined ophthalmic and sunglasses collections.
