Smith protagonist of 'World Jam 2006'

For the first time the stadium in Stockholm will be hosting from November 10 through 12 the first stage of the Big Air Snowboard World Cup. For over 30 years Smith has been the world leader for the production of sunglasses and ski and snowboarding goggles, and it is the main sponsor of the much-awaited event where its testimonials will be up among the main protagonists.

Snowboarders from everywhere in the world will be meeting in the Swedish capital for the first of the 06/07 season's 5 appointments. Organized by the International Ski Federation, they will be valid for the Ski World Cup.

The testimonials for Smith ski goggles are Austrian Stefan Gimpl, currently Big Air world vice-champion, Juuso Laivisto from Finland, Germany's Hubert Fill and Mario Kaeppeli from Switzerland. All athletes wear Phenom goggles in the exclusive and sparkling 'crystal edition', a high-impact component of the unmistakable style of the four aces.

During the race days the athletes will perform the Big Air and the public will be able to watch spectacular acrobatics with sensational twists carried out with unparalleled talent several meters above the ground. The next appointments will be held in Paris in December, Graz in January, and Turin and Moscow in February.

As well as the Big Air, the stadium in Stockholm will also host the skiing competitions (freestyle and half-pipe): Smith testimonials will be Norway's Andreas Hatveit, Kalle Leinonen from Finland and Roy Kittler from Austria. Their look will also be personalized by the high-impact style of the Phenom goggles in the 'crystal edition' .
