Semi-finished MIZAR-HD

The numerous studies that have been carried out on ophthalmic lenses have shown that those with aspheric surfaces give much better vision defect correction than classical spherical lenses.

The two generators in atoric lenses have aspheric curve and they are therefore an improvement on symmetrical aspheric lenses.

This is why Ioda has decided to create this innovative semi-finished product thanks to the new Optotech numerically-controlled equipment for free form design.

MIZAR-HD semi-finished lenses were conceived by Ioda to produce negative lenses whose main characteristics are:

-improved vision comfort thanks to the special atoric design;
-atoric convex surface (external);
-reduced thickness compared to the classical toric lens with spherical generators;
-reduced edge thickness variations typical of toric lenses.

The convex surface of MIZAR-HD semi-finished lenses can be divided into two areas:

- central with an atoric diameter of 50mm and no deformation

-external development to guarantee a gain in thickness compared to classical toric lenses.

MIZAR-HD semi-finished lenses are available in diameter 75mm, base 3, with 0.00, 0.50, 1.00 and 1.50 cylinder.
The powers available have a sphere range of -2.00 to -8.00.
Materials available: MR 8 (1.6) and MIR (1.55).
