Safilo stars at 2006/2007 Skiing World Championship

Hermann MaierThe 2006/2007 Skiing World Championships have just started and the Carrera Ski Racing Team athletes have been on the podium several times.

For Alpine Skiing, Sweden's Anja Paerson, last season's Giant Slalom champion, won a bronze medal for the downhill at Lake Louise December 2.

Austrian Rainer Schoenfelder, who won important medals at Turin 2006, gained the 3rd step of the podium for the Super Combined at Beaver Creek November 30.

Therese BorssenIn the Slalom at Aspen November 26, Sweden's Therese Borssen also came 3rd, Austrian Mario Scheiber was 2nd in the SuperG at Lake Louise on the same day, and Marc Berthod from Switzerland came 2nd in the Super Combined at Beaver Creek November 30.

Extraordinary results also in the Ski Jump at Lillehammer December 2, with 1st place going to Simon Amman from Switzerland; a silver medal was won by fellow-countryman Andreas Kuettel December 3.

During this 2006-2007 winter season, many great champions have taken to the slopes with the Carrera brand: Sweden's Anja Paerson, Hermann Maier, Rainer Schoenfelder, Michael Walchhofer and Alexandra Meissnitzer from Austria, and Manfred and Manuela Moelgg from Italy.

Also during the 2006/2007 winter season, Carrera is the official supplier of skiing helmets and goggles for the Austria, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, USA teams.
