Roger Vivier focuses on product diversification

Roger Vivier, the historical French company that makes top of the range artisan footwear and was taken over in 2001 by Diego Delle Valle, is to focus on product diversification starting with bags and small leather items.

Strictly Made in Italy, the accessories are produced at satellite laboratories just outside Florence. The aim is to further strengthen this segment by developing other luxury items around the shoes, including belts, jewelry and eyewear.

An integral part of this brand expansion and diversification project is the extension of the retail network. After the Paris boutique and the inauguration last September of the flagship store in Hong Kong, three new direct mono-brands will be opened: one in London by May, one in New York in November, and the third in Milan by spring 2007.
