Pollini presents the Spring/Summer 2007 collection
The 2007 Spring/Summer sunglass and vision collection for both men and women by Pollini is presented at Silmo Paris (27/30 October 2006). Pollini eyewear made its debut in the MIDO, May edition 2006.The new Collection consists of 16 sunglass models and 15 vision models.
Pollini's eyewear themes are inspired by Pollini's accessory style and by Pollini's ready-to-wear by Rifat Ozbek. Perforated metal shaped by decorations to create a particular three-dimensional effect on the stems. Elegant 'logo-geometries' come with large front pieces with curved lenses.
The women's sunglass collection is characterized by new toric nylon masks, embroidered with brilliant Swarovskis and laser decorations; models made in acetate or metal, with particular attention focused on the weight: ultra-light steel glasses, with extremely flexible grilamid stems.
The men's sunglasses are made using metal and acetate frames, lenses in polarizing polycarbonate or glass, with anti-reflection treatment on the inside, and hydrophobic treatment on the outside for water to run off, preventing stains from forming on the lenses: suitable for those who love sailing and for motorcyclists who use a helmet without a visor.
The vision range is designed for sophisticated and elegant women, in materials such as acetate and steel, enriched by laser work and Swarovski crystals, with special flex hinges on the outside of the frame.
A preview of some of the models from the women's collection, in different color variations with natural shades and decorative straw details was presented on the occasion of Pollini's Spring/Summer 2007 show by Rifat Ozbek, 'Milano Moda Donna' (23 September/1 October 2006).
