Mido Education: 'keeping an eye' on training

Mido Education: 'keeping an eye' on training

Once again this year the Mido Show will confirm its status as leader in professional training by playing host to Mido Education, a truly unique opportunity to gain deeper insight into topics of major interest for Optics and Ophthalmology professionals, while finding out about the latest scientific and technological innovations in the sector.

From May 6 to 8, 2006 (and therefore from the second day of the Exhibition, scheduled from May 5 to 8), the gallery-level rooms of Fieramilanocity Pav. 14 (America 1-2-3 Rooms, Oceania Room, Europa Room) will host 30 theme-based training sessions held by qualified professional lecturers of the sector, as well as by prestigious partners from other industries, such as the fashion business, who will meet at the 36th International Optics, Optometry and Ophthalmology Exhibition with the aim of cooperating and creating precious opportunities for debate and learning.

All the training sessions are CME-certified (Continuing Medical Education) and endorsed by the Italian Ministry of Health, and will therefore assign CME credits to participants. The courses will be coordinated directly by Mido, with the collaboration of partners such as: AIO (Italian Opticians' Association), ESA (European Sunglasses Association), Fabiano Editore, Federottica (Italian Association of Optometrists and Opticians), IRSOO (Regional Institute for Optical and Optometric Studies), Istituto Benigno Zaccagnini, Optical, VCA (Vision Council of America): truly prestigious names of international scope.

The sessions will focus on topical, highly scientific issues, ranging from very specialist topics to consumer and fashion-related ones, including progressive lenses, sun filters, RX eyewear and sunwear, fashion trends, merchandising management, and most importantly, several sessions on technological innovation and presbyopia. A truly wide range of proposals with which Mido hopes to repeat the success scored last year, when attendance boomed (671 enrolled participants), marking a 67% rise from the previous year.

The courses will be held in the morning, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and in the afternoon, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, on each of the three days of the show. Courses will be 'spread' over show opening hours to allow participants to also visit the exhibition, which always offers a unique opportunity to find out about all that is new in the eyewear sector.

Registration to the courses has already begun: the fee for each course is 60,00 euros (including VAT), and includes the course handout material which will be provided to participants. You can register on-line or by faxing a filled-out registration form to +39 0293650867. Through the website you will also be able to access the calendar of courses, examine their contents (by clicking on the title) and verify the CME credits offered by each event.
