Melandri and Exalt Cycle win at Australian GP

Marco Melandri, the face of Exalt Cycle by VidiVici Occhiali, reopened the MotoGp world championships with a breathtaking race.

The Phillip Island GP started off on a wet track and with a few light showers.

Marco Melandri began well and immediately took up position among the leaders, but between the eighth and ninth laps the rain forced the riders to stop and change bikes.

A packed pit-lane brought the risk of collisions, but after the scrimmage the rider from Ravenna managed to gain the third place.

With one gear more than the two motorbikes behind him, lap after lap the bike ridden by Marco Melandri from Romagna seemed to grow considerably.

Overtaking is a formality and by the sixteenth lap, he'd staked his claim on first place.

In the last 10 laps Melandri gained the advantage and overtook the official Honda ridden by Pedrosa from Spain.
