Jean Pierre Vidal on the podium with Bollé

Nova with Modulator lensOn the slopes at Kitzbühel in Austria, four years after his success at the Olympics in Salt Lake City, Jean Pierre Vidal has returned to win the Special Slalom, the prestigious competition valid for the Alpine Skiing World Cup.

Vidal crossed the finishing line at a giddy speed and his fantastic performance saw him complete a perfect descent in 1' 38'' 88, putting him ahead of Austrians Reinfried Hebst and Benjamin Raich.

Optical Clip for Bollé gogglesThe goggles worn by Jean Pierre Vidal are Nova with the latest-generation photochromic lens called 'Modulator' designed by Bollè, the brand from the Bushnell Performance Optics group. This new lens darkens and lightens, depending on the intensity of the light, to ensure optimal vision in any conditions. The model worn by the Olympic champ contributed to his success by offering excellent comfort and a wider field of vision for increasingly high levels of performance.

Bollé has also studied an innovative system that allows people with sight problems to wear their prescription glasses with the ski goggles. The optical clip with shatterproof prescription lenses in polycarbonate can be attached to the majority of Bollé goggles (Scream, Xp, Nebula and Boost), to combine vision correction and protection from sunlight.
