'Here Kitty, Kitty' leaves strong impression on parents

Check Yearly. See Clearly put a big emphasis on children's vision this month by bringing the 'Here Kitty, Kitty' public service advertisement (PSA) to over 1.5 million parents. As part of its ongoing outreach, the 'Here Kitty, Kitty.' PSA can be seen on www.parents.com, www.familycircle.com and www.child.com. These rotating advertisements will continue to reach parents daily throughout the year.

'With outreach on these websites used very extensively by parents, we are able to directly reach millions of parents, the key audience of the 'Here Kitty, Kitty.' PSA and our Check Yearly. See Clearly. message,' said Bill Thomas, CEO and executive vice president of VCA. 'This is one of the many ways Check Yearly educates parents on the importance of providing good vision care for children.'

Last year, Check Yearly, in partnership with Reading Is Fundamental, launched the 'Here Kitty, Kitty.' PSA to alert and educate parents about the important connection between children's vision and their ability to learn. This PSA has received more than 100 million impressions.

Since its launch, Check Yearly has used the 'Here Kitty, Kitty.' PSA online, in patient education materials and community outreach projects. 'We will continue to work with organizations and media outlets to reach even more parents with our message and will stress the importance of taking their children to an eye doctor,' added Thomas.
