
First 10 years of Vision Service
Held against the high-profile backdrop of Montecarlo, the Vision Service national convention was a memorable event due to the numerous participants, the perfect organization and the originality that characterized the conference.
Also underscoring the importance of the event was the significant presence of managers from the sector's major companies, a reminder that all the activities of the largest Italian group are now a benchmark and they make news not just in Italy.
Before an audience of over 300 people, an emotional Alberto Isolani opened the convention in the beautiful conference hall at the Sporting d'Hiver. He was followed by Chief Executive Marco Procacciante who gave a summary of the work carried out to date and the directions that will characterize the group's activities in the near future. As speaker/coordinator was one of the leading experts in marketing and store management, professor Sandro Castaldo of the Category Management faculty at the SDA Bocconi University.
Depth and innovation was a feature of the invaluable contributions by experts from inside and outside the organization and by the subsidiaries which had already been involved in the preparation of the event. Specific positioning, communication-plan framework, innovative management of problems connected to assortment, and the managerial aspects of the optics center were just some of the subjects discussed and will align Vision Service subsidiaries with the most efficient outlets in most modern distribution organizations.
The gala evening at the end of the day was held in the magnificent star room where a revolving ceiling gave guests a view of the star-studded Montecarlo sky, and where the stage rose out of the ground to host internationally famous music and cabaret artists.
A really unforgettable event and the few guests who were unable to make it will now be regretting they can't say 'I was there, too!'
