Eye'DC: Autumn 2006
Zazen
Put on your nothing-can-faze-me face with these 100% stainless steel glasses combining a side-cut front with temple-endpiece assembly mounted on posts and held by two blocks and nuts. The endpieces are in a thicker metal and are superimposed on the front to create a slight overlay effect accentuated by their different colour. Zazen comes in a palette of autumn hues in matt and gloss finishes. Available in a raspberry gloss front with apple green endpieces, gloss brown and plum or obsidian khaki for the entire frame, you'll never tire of these glasses. The long, slender forms shift subtly from trapezoid for men through cat for women to a unisex slimline rectangular model. Rise to a state of perfect harmony!Skultur
The eternally fashionable plastic look finds a new niche in the Eye'DC collection. With its wedge on the endpiece, Skultur boasts an unusual take on machining by creating a groove extending from the front to the temple. Two versions are available: rectangular with wide grooves for the men and trapezoid with batwing edging for the women. The range comes in five colourways. Blue on tortoiseshell or tortoiseshell on beige for the men, and violet on fluorescent pink or tortoiseshell on green for the women. The twinkle in this Sculptur's eye speaks volumes!
The Bareth concept (patent pending) has no end of possibilities. Eye'DC presents two new variations on this solderless, screw-free 'hairgrip' temple assembly:New Bareth
This model features a miniature hinge and is available in four metallic forms: two small rectangles for a more classic look, a large square version and the round 'John Lennon' frame for the more eccentric. New Bareth whips up a flurry of single colours as gloss brown, khaki and apple green step out with the new satin violet.Gable
A direct offshoot of the acetate-metal combination Rethba, Gable is distinct for its larger dimensions and an endpiece shot in the plastic front. A neo-retro concept based on wide endpieces and bold forms with two large square versions, an oval model and a rectangular style. In an echo of 1970s furniture, Gable gambols with translucent grey and brown, a three-colour version and the ubiquitous black.
