Comic strips for Imatra's new advertising campaign

The famous Italian comic-strip artist Milo Manara was welcomed as a guest today at the offices Safilo in Padua to give the President Vittorio Tabacchi the original sketches of Valentino Rossi, the indisputable star of MotoGP, with his inseparable 'Imatra R.C., Inc' sunglasses.

The pictures will be the subject of the promotional campaign dedicated to the new models from 'Imatra R.C. Inc.''s eyewear collection .

Drawn by the unmistakable hand of Milo Manara, the popular racing driver is shown with all of his easy-going personality and charismatic appeal. The pictures draw inspiration from the book 'Quarantasei' (Forty-Six) (the number on 'The Doctor''s motorbike) which tells of the imaginary adventures of Valentino Rossi and his motorbike.

All of the style of 'Imatra R.C., Inc.''s eyewear can be found in Manara's drawings for the new campaign: sunglass models with an unmistakable design and winning quality, perfect for the champion's incredible personality.

In one of the two pictures Manara shows a smiling Valentino Rossi, hiding behind a pair of sunglasses with a striking profile, on the lenses of which is the reflection of a provocative female figure. Whilst in the other picture, the sunglasses are in the racing driver's hands, shown here with an intense and thoughtful expression, as if he were concentrating before a victorious race.
