Certottica opens an operating branch in Shenzhen

After opening an operating branch in Shanghai, run by a young, local manager, Paul Dai, Certottica has now also reached southern continental China, more precisely Shenzhen, a sub-provincial city of the People's Republic of China, which belongs to the Guangdong province bordering on the city of Hong Kong.

For some time now, Certottica has, in fact, not just been limited to testing protective eye devices for the whole of Europe, but it has expanded its business to cover the vast array of devices for protecting the body and limbs, ranging from sport to work.

To satisfy the needs for the certification of products exported to America and Europe, and to intercept orders where they originate, following suit with most of the important international and national Certification Bodies, Certottica also opened an office in Shanghai, in April this year, to certify second category protective devices (protective glasses, visors, helmets and gloves), commencing relations, in November, with the Chamber of Commerce of Shenzhen, which has undertaken to promote Cerottica's services with local producers of handmade goods that are subject to certification.

Certottica has also been guaranteed a preferential channel in relation to other competitors based in China, by virtue of the Institute's competitive prices and the timely service offered.

A training course, similar to the one held previously in Fukuy, Japan, a few years ago, has also been requested in Shenzhen for the management of Chinese producers, aimed at understanding international standards.

A proposal was also put forward by the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Shenzhen, Mr. Datong, to set up a permanent technical board for the sharing of international procedures and standards, in compliance with safety requirements, in respect of intellectual property and in an attempt to discourage counterfeiting.

Finally, Certottica has been offered the chance to open an office at the Chamber of Commerce of Shenzhen, which was accepted with the proviso that the above conditions are guaranteed.

Certottica's new point of reference in China should protect Italian and European operators needing to work with the Chinese market, and initiate relations with government institutions and bodies responsible for dictating quality-related standards.
The aim is to reduce the import of unsafe materials, especially counterfeit products from Asiatic countries.
