Cébé 2000 lenses against invisible light radiations

Cruz modelCommitted to advancing the limits of technology, Cébé introduces a new lens for the high-altitude mountaineering Peak Line collection designed to provide even greater protection against invisible light radiations.

The ergonomically shaped Crux and Spot models, already offering outstanding lateral protection, are now equipped with the High Filtration polycarbonate Cébé 2000 lenses for optimum infrared protection.

Spot modelInfrared rays which are very concentrated at high altitudes, are responsible for visual fatigue and a burning sensation in the eyes. In effect, the heat emitted from infrared rays dries the eyes' lachrymal liquid producing a particularly uncomfortable condition for contact lens wearers. This intense exposure can also damage the tissues already under constant attack from UV rays and blue light. UV rays and blue light are contributory factors in the formation of cataracts and in Age-Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD).

Developed by Bnl Eurolens (Essilor Group), the new Cébé 2000 High Filtration lens blocks UV400 and absorbs a significant part of blue light and infrared rays. The lenses also feature an anti-fog treatment to avoid fogging caused by variations in outside temperature and body temperature.
