Carrera and Imatra on the podium again

Carrera and Imatra on the podium again

More important victories for the Safilo Group at the Australian Grand Prix, the fourteenth World Championship trials 2006, held last weekend on the Phillip Island circuit.

At the Australian Grand Prix, the fourth last trial for the world motorbike championship, the Spanish Jorge Lorenzo, a Carrera testimonial, won the 250cc class. Thus, he consolidated his leadership when just three races are left from the end of the season. At his eighth win of the season, Lorenzo is at the top of the general classification for his category with 249 points.

During the Australian Grand Prix, Mika Kallio from Finland, another Carrera testimonial, came second on the podium for the 125cc class. He is now second in the classification for his category with 201 points.

Both riders wear Flag 1 sunglasses from the Carrera collection designed by Enzo Sopracolle and inspired by the 'Heritage' theme. This is the original Carrera spirit which feature strong stylistic elements and caused Carrera's success during the 1970s. The essential design of this pilot line of glasses is enhanced by slender temples with the distinctive 'C' icon and by vertical details in metal positioned on the bridge, the new icon of a timeless style.

Another important success for Valentino Rossi, the testimonial for the Imatra sunglasses collection by Safilo.

Showers of rain during the fourth last MotoGP trial, held on the Philip Island circuit in Australia, forced the riders to change bikes after the race had started.

Despite the unexpected difficulty, the champion gained the third step of the podium and is now second in the general rider classification with 204 points.

Valentino Rossi wears Imatra glasses which feature characteristic gutsy lines emphasized by striking colors. Perfect for an ace like 'The Doctor' to wear for any occasion!
