Asnav back on French roads
A new appointment with the road safety campaign organized by Asnav (Association Nationale pour l'Amélioration de la Vue), Luneties du Jura and the Victor Bérard high school: from Saturday, February 11 through Sunday, February 19, drivers on the A39 turnpike will be invited to take a free eye test.
From 9:30 to 17:30 high school students will be asking drivers to take a test of various vision parameters, including binocular acuity and field of vision, to check if they meet highway-code requirements.
Since December 21, 2005, France has had a new list of disorders that are incompatible with getting or keeping a driving license. As far as sight is concerned, minimum binocular vision of 5/10 and a minimum horizontal binocular field of vision of 120° are required.
