
Anja Paerson and Maria José Rienda Contreras ex aequo on the podium with Carrera
New wins for the Carrera Ski Racing Team after the recent women's races in Ofterschwang (Germany) and the men's events Chamonix (France).
The prize-giving ceremony for the Giant Slalom saw Carrera almost sweep the podium for two days: on Saturday the 4th of February Spanish Maria Josè Rienda Contreras and Swede Anja Paerson won ex aequo the contest with a final time of 2.22.18, while on Friday the 3rd of February the Spanish athlet conquered the first place and Anja the second.
In the men's races, Austrian Rainer Schoenfelder reached the second place in the Super Combined in Chamonix last 3rd of February.
The athletes of the Carrera Ski Racing Team are holding excellent positions in the various standings: Anja Paerson is the leader of the Giant Slalom Standing with 505 points and holds the second place in the Overall Standing with 1121 points and the 5th position in the Slalom Standing with 245 points, while Maria Josè Rienda Contreras occupies the second place in second place in the Giant Slalom Standing with 405 points. Among the other athletes of the Carrera Ski Racing Team, also Alexandra Meissnitzer is reaching great results, occupying the 5th place in the Overall Standing with 712 points, the second place in the SuperG Standing with 396 points and the 5th place in the Downhill with 267 points.
In the Men Standings Hermann Maier holds the first place with 232 points in the SuperG, while Michael Walchhofer leads the Downhill with 498 points and occupies the second place in the Overall Standing with 802 points.
