Adrien Brody wears Persol sunglasses at Venice
At the 63rd Venice Film Festival during the presentation of 'Hollywoodland', American actor Adrien Brody wore Persol sunglasses model 649 by Luxottica.
'Hollywoodland', director Allen Coulter's first film, tells the story of George Reeves, who played Superman on TV from '52 to '58 and was found shot dead in his bedroom. The verdict was suicide and the case was closed, but it could have been a crime of passion. The stars are Ben Affleck and Adrien Brody, who won an Oscar for his role in 'The Pianist'.
In this movie, Brody plays Simo, an out-of-luck private detective who tries to solve this mysterious case in the attempt to end his frustrations.
For Adrien Brody "the most important thing about this movie is the capability to comprehend, to understand my character's story and that of Reeves, what really went on in their lives outside their respective roles".
"This isn't just a film noir, without doubt it is also about the quest for identity', explained director Allen Coulter. 'About people who are looking for the sense of their lives. On one hand there's Reeves, a guy who would like to be Clark Gable. On the other, there's Simo, who also wants to be acknowledged. In short, two lives that have no value without success. Something that is pretty common in our world", he added.
