A precious design - RG1061M0P - by RIGARDS features natural horn, mother-of-pearl and lacquer
The new style RG1061M0P by RIGARDS brings together refined design, organic materials and rare handcrafting skill to create a unique experience of precious eyewear.
The design has a circular shape sculpted in ethically sourced genuine horn with fractal geometry and Mobius strip-like helixes. The frame advances Rigards’ expertise in working with delicate mother-of-pearl inlay, in which tiny pieces of the luminous linings of abalone shells are cut into various shapes and embedded in lacquer in the side crescents of the frame.
Although an age-old art form, mother-of-pearl inlay in lacquer resonates a contemporary grace that has allowed the designers to devise yet another unique way to express an original aesthetic. Constructed with beta titanium temples for easy adjustment, the model also introduces a key innovation: a patented titanium ‘cage’ system that eases lens swap, safeguarding against breakage.
The frame is launched in a limited edition of 50 pieces.
