MEI expands in Italy and the US
MEI, the Italian company producing edging machines, has announced that in Italy, the company headquarters will double in size, from 10.000 to 20.000 square meters.
According to MEI, this project results from the rapid workforce growth experienced in the last few years.
MEI’s recruitment has accelerated yearly since 2020, with an 81% increase in staff between December 2020 and December 2023. At the new headquarters, the company is doubling the office space and will open a large showroom, a 300-space underground parking lot, a new restaurant with a terrace, and other amenities that promote employees’ well-being and productivity. The expansion is planned to strengthen MEI’s reputation for high-quality products and ensure that customers continue to receive a high-quality service, with quick response times and improved product availability.
In the US, MEI has expansion plans ongoing and due to be completed in 2025. The new headquarters will triple the size of the US facilities. It will feature innovative amenities aimed at enhancing productivity and employee well-being. These include spacious parking with electric car chargers, a two-level structure (office and warehouse), and a dedicated demonstration area for showcasing MEI’s technologies to current customers and prospects.
