iVision Tech launches iSee smart glasses designed for the blind community

iVision Tech S.p.A., an Italian manufacturing company active in the design and production of acetate and combination frames, and owner of the historic French eyewear brand Henry Jullien, launches iSee on the market: the first assistive technology glasses for mobility that allow blind people to detect the space around them up to four metres away, increasing their autonomy and ensuring greater safety when moving around.

The iSee Project is a social initiative which focuses on developing innovative solutions to meet the daily needs of the blind. The glasses have been designed by a team led directly by iVision Tech with the contribution of a group of blind people. Pre-sales have begun in December on the e-commerce platform isee-one.com. In February 2025, iSee will be presented to the general public at MIDO (Milan).
Integrating cutting-edge technologies, the device uses advanced sensors and sophisticated audio tools to detect obstacles up to a distance of four meters. This is made possible by a system of algorithms that analyses and re-elaborates the surrounding environment, generating a precise mapping transmitted to the user via intuitive acoustic signals.
Thanks to innovative engineering, the device reaches an unprecedented level of miniaturization, the company states. “This guarantees optimal performance in terms of battery life, responsiveness and aesthetic discretion, presenting itself in every way just like a normal pair of glasses”.
Federico Fulchir, Project Manager, iSee project, iVision Tech said: “We are thrilled to finally be able to announce the arrival on the market of these glasses that we are really proud of. Our goal is to initially cover the European and North American markets, where there are 3.6 million blind people, and then expand to a global scale where there are an estimated 43 million blind people. In the first half of 2025, we aim to make iSee a medical device to expand the number of users who can afford the cost of glasses, in line with our guiding principle of making the project a concrete social initiative”.
Stefano Fulchir, CEO of iVision Tech, added: “It is a social project that makes us very proud and that has seen a long design process to reach a very high level of quality. The technological acquisitions we have made in recent months and the partnerships have been strategic to achieve this result and we trust that our smart glasses can soon help millions of blind people”.
