Well-established styles take precedence at the Belgian eyewear label
KOMONO describe their Autumn/Winter 2021 optical collection as a line that revisits classic shapes expanding on well-established lines and the timeless look that is popular for the season. The brand has introduced styles which continue their mission towards greater sustainability, with new models made in recycled and eco acetate. The company describes the materials as "almost fully biodegradable", allowing them to reduce production waste as a further, important benefit.
Tracing back to the origins of KOMONO's optical range, the Autumn/Winter models revisit a variety of popular classic shapes and expands on well-established lines. The line includes model Cole, a fresh introduction for those looking for an accessible, masculine style and model Lola, a feminine cat's eye in the Bold series. The sharp, octagonal structure of their new model Maggie aims to celebrate the clean, geometrical aesthetics that have become synonymous with the brand while model Noah in the metal line offers a softly flattened rounded shape, with lots of versatility. The colour palette at KOMONO is reserved for a soft and milky selection of hues and fade effects. Gradient and mélange colours also appear. A new campaign by Pierre Debusschere has also been announced last month.
