The Italian manufacturer announces the 2021 styles in its luxury collection DIVA – having acquired the company BRILLARTE in December 2020
First created in 1980, DIVA Eyewear’s line of optical frames and sunglasses are traditionally known for their rich decorations characterised by Austrian Swarovski crystals, an element that allows for intricate detailing on each of the women’s designs. Italian manufacturer IOVES, who acquired the DIVA brand as part of BRILLARTE in 2020, continues the tradition and design focus of the line, with high-end materials such as Italian acetate, and a style inspired by jewellery and nature.
With a selection of shapes which explore design cuts, angles, curves and layers for a modern look, the acetate frames by DIVA also feature decorative treatments such as marble finishes, laminations and contrasting combinations. The metal detailing typically features “twisting and rippling” techniques, also popular in jewellery, whilst replicating forms in nature such as leaves or flowers.
Colour is explored through the use of classic tones of black/gold, silver, and brown and hues informed by fashion trends: navy, green, burgundy, plum and violet.
All DIVA eyeglasses and sunglasses are made in Italy with Mazzucchelli acetate and stainless steel, enriched with the luxurious touch of Swarovski® crystals. DIVA is distributed by the company ESE INTERNATIONAL (Eastern States Eyewear) in the US.
An eyewear manufacturer since 1950, IOVES also produces the collections WEST (www.weareyewear.com) and AMARCORD (www.amarcord-eyewear.com). Both brands have released new collections this season.
