The technology company launches new Atlas platform and remote slit lamp this month

Eyoto, has announced the launch of a new approach to ophthalmic lens inspection that they say delivers quality control efficiency, accuracy and traceability for optical labs, while also providing valuable data to assist lab management. The Atlas platform inspects every job against critical prescriptive measurements. These results are then checked to ensure they comply with local, or personalised, standards and tolerances, while also checking for surface defects and mapping the power across the entire lens. Atlas Global checks un-cut semi-finished and finished lenses up to 80mm diameter at any point in the production process, saving time and money by identifying defects before further processing. Atlas Duo provides simultaneous dual inspection of a fully glazed pair of spectacles.
At MIDO, Eyoto will also show a new remote slit lamp, which removes the need for the optometrist to be in the same location as the patient. Called Theia, after the goddess of sight and light, it can deliver multiple opportunities, including increasing the provision of ocular health examinations through more efficient and flexible use of optometrist time.
The Theia remote digital optical imaging system features a 4K resolution camera and screen, with full image and video capture capability. Small enough to sit on a standard optical equipment table, it delivers the same quality eye health examination as if the optometrist were with the patient.
