Divel Italia’s Re-Live Lens is produced in 50% Certified Recycled Content
DIVEL’s RE-LIVE lens is a sustainable demo lens created to achieve new goals in the eyewear industry, in which issues such as innovation, sustainability and the environment are of ever-greater relevance, the company explains.
The lens has been produced from 50% certified recycled content made out of a mixture of polyester waste diverted from landfills and the environment. “Environmental sustainability is crucial in this day and age, and we are seeing ever-increasing numbers of sustainable products in an effort to minimize environmental impact,” the Italian company acknowledges. “After developing sun filters using sustainable materials, DIVEL has now added this sustainable demo lens to our product range.” The lens has been created by combining the technical and commercial talents of DIVEL with the know-how of EASTMAN in producing the raw material. As well as offering good performance and a “superior look and feel” the lenses have been designed with a range of benefits such as offering an unmatched combination of impact strength and chemical resistance to skin oils. The lens is also BPA free and hypoallergenic.
