The US has announced investments of more than $250 million in projects and technologies to decarbonise the industrial sector.Of this, $171 million will go to 49 selected projects to reduce industrial greenhouse gas emissions. There is also an $83 million funding opportunity for decarbonisation projects in 'hard' sectors such as chemicals, steel, food and construction (these sectors account for more than 65% of US industrial production emissions and are critical to decarbonising supply chains).
