The 49th edition of MIDO confirmed the already excellent results of 2018 with a slight growth in attendance: about 59,500 visits during the three-day event of professional operators from 159 countries. 1,323 exhibitors including 110 new entries distributed in 7 pavilions and 8 exhibition areas.
MIDO 2019 was characterized by the high quality of the products between the stands of all the pavilions and the satisfaction of the exhibitors for the outcome of the fair, demonstrating that MIDO remains an event first of all dedicated to business, useful for expanding the network of contacts, doing business and making business agreements.
The focus is always on the future of eyewear: in Italy and internationally there is a great excitement, also witnessed by the growth of the MORE! pavilion and the Lab Academy, the avant-garde laboratory where companies that create innovative products and apply original business formulas exhibit.
The numbers
59,500 attendances from 159 countries, 1,323 exhibitors from 50 countries, 130 interviews broadcast live by MIDOTV on the YouTube channel, recording a total of 100k views only in the 3 days of the fair. The enthusiasm of exhibitors, visitors, bloggers and VIPs was captured with the hashtag #MIDO2019 and the posts on Instagram and Facebook reached 1 million impressions. There were 6,000 unique users of the app.
Over 200 press releases, with more than 500 accredited journalists. Over 20 meetings in the Otticlub area with more than 70 speakers.
