Sabato 6 Settembre si è svolta, presso il St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts di Toronto, la première mondiale di Films of City Frames, l'iniziativa promossa dallo stilista e che testimonia ancora una volta il suo forte legame con il cinema attraverso il ricco universo narrativo costruito intorno alla collezione Frames of Life. La proiezione dei cortometraggi è stata introdotta dal regista e produttore premio Oscar Edward Zwick, che ha anche presentato al pubblico gli studenti. L'evento si è svolto nell'ambito del Toronto International Film Festival, manifestazione di cui Giorgio Armani è sponsor.   "Sono molto felice che Edward Zwick partecipi alla presentazione dei cortometraggi Films of City Frames. Edward è un produttore e regista di talento, con il quale ho avuto il piacere di collaborare in più di un'occasione. La grande passione e l'impegno per il cinema lo rendono la persona giusta per presentare questo progetto che ha come obiettivo principale quello di promuovere i talenti del futuro", ha dichiarato Giorgio Armani.   "È un onore per me partecipare con Giorgio Armani a questo progetto a favore dei giovani talenti del cinema. È un lavoro estremamente interessante, perché unisce il mondo della moda a quello del grande schermo" ha dichiarato Edward Zwick. Il regista e produttore premio Oscar ha abbracciato con entusiasmo l'iniziativa: egli stesso è da tempo mentore per aspiranti registi attraverso le sue lezioni presso l'American Film Institute e la USC School of Cinematic Arts.   Alla proiezione dei cortometraggi è seguita una tavola rotonda moderata da Imran Amed, fondatore ed Editor in Chief di The Business of Fashion, l'autorevole piattaforma editoriale online e media partner dell'evento. La serata si è conclusa con un esclusivo cocktail party, presso l'iconica CN Tower, ospitato da Roberta Armani e dal regista e produttore premio Oscar Edward Zwick, e animato dal dj set di Mark Ronson. The initiative, which was sponsored by the stylist, once again states his deep appreciation for cinema through the rich narrative world created around the Frames of Life collection. The screening of these short films was introduced by Oscar winning director and producer Edward Zwick, who also introduced the students to the public. The event was organised as part of the Toronto International Film Festival, which is sponsored by Giorgio Armani.   "I am extremely happy that Edward Zwick is participating in the presentation of the one-reelers Films of City Frames. Edward is a talented producer and director with whom I have had the pleasure of working on more than one occasion. With an intense passion for and deep commitment to film-making, he is the right person to present this project, whose principal goal is to promote future talents," said Giorgio Armani.   "I am honoured to participate with Giorgio Armani in this project for young cinema talents. The work is fascinating because it converges the fashion world with that of cinema," said Edward Zwick. The Oscar winning director and producer enthusiastically embraced the initiative, since he too has long been a mentor for would-be directors through his lessons held at the American Film Institute and the USC School of Cinematic Arts.   The screening of the short films was followed by a round table conference chaired by Imran Amed, founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Business of Fashion, the authoritative online editorial platform and media partner of the event. The evening drew to a close with the exclusive cocktail party held at the iconic CN Tower, hosted by Roberta Armani and by the Oscar winning director and producer Edward Zwick, with musical animation provided by Mark Ronson's DJ set.
