Il servizio fotografico realizzato in collaborazione con gloryfy – l'azienda austriaca che produce i famosi occhiali unbreakable – si è svolto sul fiume Po - il fiume più lungo d'Italia, 652 km – e ha definitivamente dimostrato che il wakeboard non è divertente solo in combinazione con barche o sci nautico ma è altrettanto entusiasmante se si viene trainati da un aereo ultraleggero "Savage". Intervistato su questa esperienza unica, Bernhard Hinterberger ha commentato: "La sfida più grande è stata l'estrema velocità con cui l'aereo mi ha tirato sull'acqua. I wakeboard sono normalmente destinati a una velocità di circa 30-40 Km / h, ma in questa occasione non siamo mai scesi sotto gli 80 a 100 km / h perché l'aereo per rimanere in aria ha bisogno di alta velocità. I wakeboard però non sono costruiti per tali velocità e la tavola ha iniziato a piegarsi - questo è dovuto all'elevata resistenza causata dall'attrito – e quando si va così veloci non si possono nemmeno usare gli spigoli della tavola perché l'acqua è dura come una roccia! Produced in collaboration with Gloryfy – the Austrian company that makes the famous unbreakable eyewear – the photos were taken on the Po, Italy's longest river (652 km), and definitely demonstrated that wakeboarding is fun when combined with boats or water skis, but also very exciting when you are being pulled along by a lightweight "Savage" aircraft. When interviewed about his unique experience, Bernhard Hinterberger commented: "The biggest challenge was the extreme speed at which the plane pulled me across the water. Wakeboards are meant for speeds of about 30-40 km/h, but on this occasion we never dropped below 80-100 km/h because the plane needs to go that fast to stay in the air. But a wakeboard is not built for such speeds and it began to bend − owing to the strong frictional resistance – and when you are going that fast you can't even use the edges of the board because the water is rock hard! Surfing at this incredible speed behind a lightweight "Savage" aircraft was an unforgettable experience!"
